For many years now, “Svetlana”-K has participated in social programs and carried out its own projects in order to improve the lives of ordinary citizens. One especially acute social concern for the company has been the problems of women. For several years, “Svetlana”-K has participated in the international Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, which was kicked off in the United Kingdom in 1992. The goal of the crusade is to draw attention to breast cancer and to collect donations to solve the social problems tied up with the fight against it. “Svetlana”-K has donated to the program, helping to purchase mammography equipment in various regions of Russia.

Another high-priority area in the company’s charity work is improving the quality of children’s lives. “Svetlana”-K has been a partner for many years of the Nash Dom (“Our Home”) social rehabilitation center in the city of Novokuybyshevsk. Courtesy of the company’s efforts, the children’s center now features a children’s library, a computer classroom, and a playground. For older girls, “Svetlana”-K has arranged workshops for learning manicuring.

“Svetlana”-K is expanding its charity into even more areas. The young residents at Children’s Home No. 4, in Rostov-on-Don, now have books, paint, and creative materials.

At Children’s Home No. 1 for Psychologically Impaired Children with Organic Diseases of the Central Nervous System in Krasnodar, “Svetlana”-K provided up-to-date windows.

In Lyubertsy, the Specialized Children’s Home for Psychologically Impaired Children with Organic Diseases of the Central Nervous System has received much-needed equipment: a functional stand (verticalizer) for disabled children.
